During our short trip to Calamba, Laguna, we visited one of its historical sites, the Rizal Shrine in Calamba City. The latter served as a home to the country’s national hero, Jose Rizal and his family during the latter part of the 1800s. Unfortunately, the original Mercados’ residence was destroyed by the wars that happened in the history and, thus, the current house built in the land is a replica of the house. Nonetheless, the only remaining property of the Mercados that was not ruined by the wars is the well that the hero’s family used and is laying beneath the pail illustrated in the photo above.
Some of my favorite shots taken during our various trips in the last two months.

Any thoughts?
